Automated Benefits Application

The Automated Benefits Application is a joint partnership between the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and the Vital Statistics Agency (VSA) of the participating province/territory. It provides a quick, easy, and secure way to apply for all child benefit programs for newborn children. Upon consent, the provincial/territorial VSA registering the birth will send the applicant's registration information, over a secure communication network, to the CRA to have the applicant's eligibility to benefits determined.
