For the first clearance each morning, items are date stamped with the previous business day's date.

Make a payment

• Pay electronically through your financial institution’s Internet or telephone banking service.
• Pay electronically using CRA’s My Payment through participating financial institutions.
• Take your remittance voucher and pay directly at any financial institution.
• Mail your payment with your remittance voucher to:

Note
If you are mailing your payment and do not have a remittance voucher, you must indicate your social insurance number or your 15 digit business number and the tax year or payment period on your payment.

We consider you to have made your payment on the day that:

• we receive it (not on the day you mail it); or
• it is processed at any financial institution belonging to the Canadian Payments Association. Payments made at an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) may not be processed that same day.

If your payment due date falls on a Saturday, a Sunday, or a public holiday, the payment will be considered received on time if it is received by the CRA on the first business day after the due date.
