CRA's finance professionals provide a wide range of services and contribute to the delivery of CRA programs. Graduates in search of a professional challenge will surely find one within the CRA.

The FIAP is an exciting new recruitment program for post secondary graduates with a university degree in finance, accounting, business administration or commerce, or those eligible to obtain an accounting designation (i.e. CA, CMA, CGA).

Note: Documentation confirming graduation is required. Prior work experience in finance or accounting is not necessary.

If accepted into the program you will be offered a full-time entry-level Financial Officer (FI-01) position and benefit from a 24-month apprenticeship program under the direction of experienced staff. You will have the opportunity to develop skills and gain experience through a combination of on the job practical work experience, formal training, on-the-job mentoring and networking opportunities. Upon successful completion of the program, and provided you meet all the requirements of the program, you may be appointed to an FI-02 position.

This twenty-four (24) month program offers:

  • On-the-job rotational work assignments
  • Formal training including supporting your efforts to pursue a professional accounting designation (i.e. CA, CMA, CGA)
  • Mentoring
  • Networking opportunities
  • Opportunities to work independently or on a project team
  • Opportunities to work in various areas within the Agency
  • Opportunities to work on various projects such as performance reporting, costing, developing business cases, systems development, monitoring, policies, financial reporting or analysis

During the Fall of 2010 CRA recruiters will be attending Career Fairs at selected colleges and universities within the National Capital Region.
