Authorize or manage representatives
You as the business owner can authorize a representative including your employees to access your business account(s) information online by accessing the "Authorize or manage representative" link. You will need the employee or individual's RepID they received by registering as a representative through Represent a Client. You can also authorize a tax or payroll services business using their BN after they have registered with Represent a Client.

Online authorization allows immediate access to the representatives. They will have access to most services offered through My Business Account. Once authorized, they access the information through Represent a Client.
Business owners can also manage their representatives by viewing a list of authorized representatives we have on file for the business. This service allows you to cancel or modify each representative's authorization.
Add a business to My Business Account profile
This service allows you to add the BN accounts registered to your name and allows you, the business owner, to delete them from your My Business Account profile should you not want to access them online. It also allows you to select a BN as the default on the personalized Welcome page.

Some businesses provide the CRA with separate addresses for different types of business accounts, such as GST/HST, payroll, corporation income tax, excise duty, excise tax, excise tax on insurance premiums, Air Travellers Security Charge and Softwood Lumber Product Export Charge. If this is the case, My Business Account will list the physical, mailing, and books and records addresses on file for each applicable business account.
View correspondence (communication items issued by CRA)

Financial transaction requests are processed manually, and each request is promptly forwarded to the appropriate tax centre for action.

In most cases, the system will process requests for these items within 24 hours. If the system is unable to respond automatically, the requests will be sent to a tax centre for processing. If an online request requires correspondence to be generated, it will be sent by regular mail.

Business owners with a registered Nova Scotia Business and Municipal Relations and/or Workers' Compensation Board account(s) can link directly to the Nova Scotia Business Registry Internet Services Web site from My Business Account by giving consent to the CRA to share their name, business name and BN.
Register a formal dispute (Notice of objection or Appeal)
You can use this service to submit a formal dispute to an assessment, reassessment, determination, or redetermination notice we have sent you regarding:
After you select the "Submit" button at the bottom of the "Register a formal dispute" page, you will receive a message thanking you for your submission. It will then be routed to a CRA employee who may contact you for clarification.
This service currently does not let you submit attachments. Keep your documents and any additional information until we contact you about your formal dispute.
My Business Account allows you to file a GST return over the Internet without a Web Access Code. Simply log in to My Business Account using your epass User ID and Password and proceed to the Welcome page. If you have more than one Business Number, select the one you want to access, then under the GST heading, select the GST account you want to access and then select "File a return".
My Business Account allows you to file a T4 return over the Internet without a Web Access Code. This service lets you complete a T4 Web form, for up to 3 original or amended slips, and securely submit this encrypted return.
Internet file transfer (T4, T4A, T4A-NR, T4RIF, and T4RSP)
My Business Account allows you to transmit information returns (up to 3500 slips or 3.5 MB) over the Internet without a Web Access Code. This service is used to transfer returns to CRA by attaching a file in the eXtensible Markup Language (XML) format.
This service allows you to inform CRA that you don't have employees subject to payroll deductions for a particular remitting period.
This service allows you to see the status, tax year and return type for T4 returns filed and received by CRA for the current and last calendar year.

Transmit a corporation income tax return
My Business Account allows you to transmit a corporation income tax return over the Internet without a Web Access Code.
The CRA certifies commercial tax preparation software packages for use with the Corporation Internet Filing service.
Corporation Internet Filing has been designed to accept a specific file format (".cor" extension), and the CRA-certified software will include instructions on how to save your income tax return in that format.
This service allows you to see the status, filing date and tax year-end for corporation income tax returns filed and received by CRA for the current and previous four calendar years.
This service provides a table showing the assessment type (such as returns, endorsement fees, penalties, audit assessments), whether the return has been received, issued or corrected, the status (assessed, required, captured, or replaced), and the amount total for each return of the previous 12 periods.
