Only taxpayers with browsers that support Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) 3.0 encryption can use GST/HST Internet File Transfer. If your browser does not have 128 bit SSL 3.0 encryption, you can either download a browser that supports this encryption or upgrade the one you currently have.

Browser settings

You must ensure that cookies and JavaScript are enabled in your browser settings.

Since not all browsers are configured in the same manner, you should check the Internet options of your browser for ways to enable the cookies and JavaScript functions.

What if I do not upgrade my browser?

If your browser does not meet the requirements listed above, you may not be able to use GST/HST Internet File Transfer.
