To access the services under My Account for Individuals or My Business Account for the first time, you will be asked to register for a CRA user ID and password. This process is done in four steps. You will have to provide some personal information, create a CRA user ID and password, create security questions and answers and enter a CRA security code, which will be mailed to you.
Once you have completed the registration process, you will be able to access your personal information within My Account for Individuals or My Business Account by simply logging in using your CRA user ID and password. For more information, see My Account for Individuals or My Business Account.
Note: For My Business Account you will also need to enter your Business Number.
To access the Represent a Client service, you will need to register for a CRA user ID and password. This process is done in three steps. You will have to authenticate using your notice of assessment access code and your postal code or ZIP code. You will then have to create a CRA user ID and password and create security questions and answers. Once you have completed the registration process, you will be able to access the Represent a Client service by simply logging in using your CRA user ID and password. To manage your security options such as revoke or change your CRA user ID and/or password or manage your questions and answers, you must first login to a service. Once you have logged in, you can access "Manage my security options" either on the "Last CRA login" page or on the main menu page of the service you have selected.
