Enabling Cookies

1. Select Tools from the browser Menu bar.
2. Select Internet Options.
3. Select Privacy tab.
4. Select Medium setting (recommended).
5. Select OK on the Internet Options window.

Enabling Java

Sun JVM (required for Windows XP)

1. Select Tools from the browser Menu bar.
2. Select Internet Options.
3. Select Advanced tab.
4. Scroll down to Java (Sun).
5. Select Use JRE.
6. Click OK on the Internet Options window.

If you don't see the option for the SUN JVM in the Advanced Tab, please download it at the SUN Microsystems website at http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

IBM JVM

1. Select Tools from the browser Menu bar.
2. Select Internet Options.
3. Select Advanced tab.
4. Scroll down to Java (IBM).
5. Select Use Java...
6. Click OK on the Internet Options window.

Enabling JavaScript (Active Scripting)

1. Select Tools from the browser Menu bar.
2. Select Internet Options.
3. Select Security tab.
4. Select Custom Level.
5. Scroll down to Scripting:
   a. Under Active Scripting select Enable.
   b. Under Scripting for Java Applets select Enable.
   
6. Click OK on the Security Settings window.
7. Click OK on the Internet Options window.

Enabling Compatibility View with Internet Explorer 8.0:

1. Select Tools from the browser Menu bar.
2. Select Compatibility View Settings.
3. The site egs-seg.gc.ca should appear in the Add this Web Site path.
4. Click Add.
5. Click Close on the Compatibility View Settings window.

After correcting your browser settings, please close your browser for the new settings to take effect.

Firefox 3.0.11 or higher

Enabling Java and JavaScript

1. Select Tools from the browser Menu bar.
2. Select Options on the menu.
3. Select Content.
4. Check Enable Java.
5. Check Enable JavaScript.
6. Click OK on the Options window.

Enabling Cookies

1. Select Tools from the browser Menu bar.
2. Select Options on the menu.
3. Select Privacy.
4. Check Accept Cookies from sites.
5. Keep until: they expire.
6. Click OK on the Options window.

After correcting your browser settings, please close your browser for the new settings to take effect.

Safari 2.0.4 and 3.0.4

Enabling Java and JavaScript

1. Select Safari from the browser Menu bar.
2. Select Preferences on the menu.
3. Select Security tab.
4. Where it says Web Content select the following:
   a. Enable plug-ins.
   b. Enable Java.
   c. Enable JavaScript.
   

Enabling Cookies

1. Select Safari from the browser Menu bar.
2. Select Preferences on the menu.
3. Select Security tab.
4. Where it says Accept Cookies select either Always or Only from sites you navigate to.

After correcting your browser settings, please close your browser for the new settings to take effect.
