1. My personal information has changed. Can I change it online?
Yes. Once you log in with your CRA user ID and password, select "Review and update" and then "View and update my registration information" and follow the instructions.
2. I forgot/lost my RepID. Do I need to register for another one?
No. You can view your RepID through the "Review and update" option. Once you login with your CRA user ID and password, select "Review and update" and then "View and update my registration information." Your RepID will be displayed.
You can register for one independent RepID and up to five employee RepIDs3. How can I view my client list?
Once you login with your CRA user ID and password, select "Review and update" and then "Taxpayers who have authorized this RepID" to view your individual clients or you can select "Businesses that have authorized this RepID" to view your business clients.
4. Can I view the list of representatives and/or administrators registered for my business?
Yes. If you are the owner of the business or an administrator, you can view the list of employees registered as representatives and/or administrators. Once you login with your CRA user ID and password, select "Review and update" then "Manage employees' access" and then "Employee lists".
5. I do not want my business to represent clients anymore. What do I need to do?
You need to cancel your business registration from the Represent a Client service. Once you login with your CRA user ID and password, select "Review and update" then select your business number, then select "Business information" and then select "Suspend your business from this service" or select "Cancel your business from this service" and follow the instructions.
6. My business name has changed. What do I need to do?
First, you need to update your business name in our BN database by calling 1-800-959-5525. You can also login to My Business Account and select "Manage operating names" if you would like to add, remove or modify an operating name. Second, you need to update your business name for the Represent a Client service by logging in with your CRA user ID and password, selecting "Review and update," then select the "Business information" tab, and then select "Business registration" This will bring up the first registration screen where you can select your updated name from a list provided by our BN database. Follow the instructions and, once completed, your clients will see your new name.
