OK check this out.

We're the Canada Revenue Agency, and we're running a video contest.

Here's the deal.

We want you to produce a YouTube video that shows, in your words, using your thinking, your creativity, how the underground economy is… well, a bad thing – a thing that hurts all Canadians.

What is the underground economy? It's about people and companies who do business or perform services without reporting their income or collecting and paying their taxes.

Even though there are some big-time penalties, it still goes on and it still messes up our national economy, our communities, and Canadian families.

Because taxes pay for important things.

Schools, hospitals, roads, parks… it's a long list.

You're paying your share, and people who participate in the underground economy are doing so at your expense.

And that's not fair.

But we'd like your take on it: choose one or both of these themes and create the ultimate YouTube anti-underground economy video.

One, the negative impact of the underground economy, why it's bad for people and society or the risks; what can happen to people who get involved in this kind of activity.

Now what would a contest be without rules.

Here we go You must be a Canadian resident.

Your production team can include up to four people.
