My Account and Quick Access

Hi, I'm Kim from the Canada Revenue Agency. If you have a few moments, I'd like to tell you about two of our electronic services: My Account and Quick Access. Let's start with My Account. It allows you to access your tax information, change your income tax return or address, apply for child benefits, arrange direct deposit to your account at a financial institution, authorize a representative, and much more.

To access My Account, simply register for a Government of Canada epass. Then, we'll mail you a CRA security code that will allow you to register for My Account. Even if you don't have an epass, you can see some of your tax and benefit information immediately with Quick Access. With Quick Access, all you need to do is identify yourself and enter some information from your previous year's tax return. Then, you'll be able to see the status of your income tax return, your benefit payments, and your RRSP deduction limit. To learn more about My Account, go to cra.gc.ca/myaccount.
