Before you register

Before you register, you need to know the following information:

• Social insurance number (SIN)
• Business structure
• Name
• Location
• Business activity
• Representative/contact person
• Obligations
• Sales amount / reporting period
• Fiscal year-end
• Effective date
• Accounting periods
• Records

The CRA is requesting that all new registrants provide the Name and the Social Insurance Number (SIN) of at least one owner/director of the business and the Major Business Activity (MBA) when registering.
