Air Travellers Security Charge

The Air Travellers Security Charge is a key element of the Government of Canada's security response to the events of September 11, 2001.

The CRA is responsible for administering the charge, which came into effect Monday, April 1, 2002.

Since April 1, the charge has been collected by air carriers or their agents at the time of purchase.
