You can grant access to your representative with or without online access.
You can provide us with your consent by one of the following methods:
Before submitting Form T1013, Authorizing or Cancelling a Representative, make sure we have your current mailing address by visiting My Account (if you are registered with the My Account service), or by calling us at 1-800-959-8281.
Send your completed Form T1013 to your tax centre where you send your tax return. If you are not sure which tax centre is yours, look on your most recent Notice of Assessment or Notice of Reassessment. Be sure to complete all relevant sections of the form with the necessary information.
In order for us to accept your request, you must complete part 1, part 2 or 3, part 4, and part 6.
The difference between Part 2 and Part 3 is that Part 2 grants online access and Part 3 does not. Therefore both cannot be completed. If both parts are completed, we will only process Part 2.
Our goal is to process T1013 forms received during the peak tax time (mid-March to mid-July) within 20 business days of receipt by the CRA and within 5 business days of receipt by the CRA during non-peak tax time (mid-July to mid-March).
However, if the form is not completed correctly with all the necessary information, the form will not be processed. If your Social Insurance Number is indicated on the incomplete form, CRA will return it to you for the missing information to be completed. Also, if we do not receive your completed Form T1013 within 6 months of its signature date, or if the date of signature or the signature is missing, the form will not be processed.
You can authorize, change or view the representatives we have on your file, using the Authorize my representative service found under our My Account service. To use the My Account service, you have to register for a CRA user ID and password, which includes the mailing of a CRA security code.

After granting authorization to a new representative, you may want to cancel a representative you had previously granted authorization to.
