Prior-year tax return packages

Many of our forms and guides are frequently updated, sometimes every year, because of important changes for that year.

The three most common reasons you would use a form or publication for a previous year are:

• to file an original tax return for a previous year;
• to ask for an adjustment to a previous-year's tax return that you've already filed (do not file another return for that year); and
• to declare income under the Voluntary Disclosures Program.
