2009 CVITP Training program

This program complements the training session and instructions provided by your local coordinator.

Content

This training program covers the following topics:

• Introduction to the CVITP;
• The responsibilities of being a volunteer;
• How to install, register and use the tax preparation software;
• Training on tax changes for the 2009 tax year, based on your province or territory;
• Examples of typical individuals served by the CVITP;
• An interactive guide to the 2009 T1 General Income Tax and Benefit return.

This training program is a CRA training product, however, it is hosted on a non-CRA server.
It can only be viewed and cannot be downloaded.
It is only intended for use by volunteers who prepare simple returns under the CVITP. It should be combined with a complete training course and a CRA representative should be used as a resource person.
Its scope is limited and should not be relied upon or used for any other purposes, such as obtaining general tax information or for preparing more complex tax returns.
