Sustainable development practices - duplex printing & electronic publications

The Canada Revenue Agency's Sustainable Development Strategy encourages every employee and every part of the Agency to adopt practices of responsible environmental stewardship. Reducing paper consumption is a significant part of this strategy.

As a result, Registered Plans Directorate will undertake two initiatives commencing in the month of September 2006. We will begin printing on both sides of each sheet of paper used in correspondence and we will issue all publications, including newsletters, guides and circulars, in electronic format only. These practices will reduce the effects our operations have on the environment.
